About the team

Our Commercial team creates value for businesses of every size and industry – from globally recognized brands to new start-ups. This is the team that seeks out new opportunities to unleash the potential of our new and existing customers. We are a diverse, fun-loving, and community focused team across APAC with team members in Singapore, Hong Kong & Seoul.

With deep experience in the payments space, this team works together to ensure the client interaction with Worldpay is as seamless as possible from solutions consulting to business development to relationship management. Our customer engagement model is among the best in the industry, and we are proud to be working with and delivering for clients across Airlines & Travel, Digital, Retail & eCommerce and the B2B space.

What you’ll own

Thailand country manager responsibilities:

Ensure that strategic policies and efficient risk management system must be established to take care of key risk and strategy of service.

Ensure an appropriate and efficient internal control system in place and in compliance with law, regulations.

Ensure a reporting system of any actions that are non-compliant with law and regulations in place to monitor, rectify and prevent the business operation from any damages or significant impacts.

Ensure the accounting record and relevant documents are prepared and maintained to demonstrate the actual financial position and performance.

Monitor and ensure the performance of outsourced activities conducted by third parties are carried out appropriately and in accordance with the intra-group agreements.

Responsible for the growth of WPTH’s eCommerce merchant portfolio, enhancing customer experience, improving retention rates, delivering cross sell growth.

To build and maintain strong client relationships.

Participates in establishing financial goals, objectives, and measurements to meet growth targets.

Represent WPTH in front of the general public, the press, and the regulators.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

Lead commercial strategy and drive business growth for Thailand

To deliver the Thailand sales strategy in line with Worldpay's global sales plan

The role is strategic and focused on delivering solutions to our new and existing customers with a responsibility to grow the P&L of the market.

Identify and develop new client opportunities and raising Worldpay's profile on a consistent basis. You will build on a portfolio of target clients and attract new clients. These new clients might be found from supplied leads or already known within your existing network.

Responsibility for growth of eCommerce customer portfolio P&L– enhancing customer experience and life span, improving retention, delivering cross sell growth.

Increase market share by maintaining existing customers while also expanding pipeline of new customers, using tools that improve processes and improve discipline along the way.

Represent Worldpay Thailand at key industry body and events, maintain a high profile with Thailand customer base.

Grow and Manage Team

Bring onboard, manage, coach and mentor RMs to improve relationship management capability.

Accountable for overall relationship health, merchant advocacy and driving portfolio growth to full potential income.

Developing portfolio strategy and structure that supports our growth ambitions – covering portfolio management of customers, pricing & commercial strategy and product cross sell.

Developing long-term partnership with senior merchant contacts with a deep understanding of their business including their broader 2–3-year business agendas

Supporting team in collaborating with merchants to drive innovation in the Fintech industry, developing our roadmap and a growing our market leading Worldpay value proposition

Inspire team to deliver Merchant Engagement outcomes by demonstrating WorldPay role model behaviour.

Ensure team accurate and on time delivery of MI monthly to support regional reporting requirements.

Where you’ll own it

You’ll own it in our APAC hub Thailand. With hubs in the heart of city centers and tech capitals, things move fast in APAC. We pride ourselves on being an agile and dynamic collective, collaborating with different teams and offices across the globe.

What you bring

You will have a proven track record of sales leadership in solution selling and relationships management, within technology, and you are familiar with long cycle consultative sales processes and enterprise merchant relationship management.

You will also need to be highly flexible in your approach and be independent to drive your performance to achieve stretch targets.

Possess expert knowledge of the payments industry.

With outstanding communication skills and an abundance of passion and energy you will thrive in the positive environment at Worldpay and be handsomely rewarded for your achievements.

Besides strong analytical skills and methodological way of working, you will have excellent communicative skills (concise and direct) and experience in identifying and influencing key decision makers and stakeholders as well as strong people management skills.

Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally), employees, clients and public

Ability to identify, address and resolve employee related issues

Occasional travel is required.

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
